Bye Bye Pussy Cat

I am so sad to announce the death of our pesky beloved cat Leo. He died on Sunday afternoon, while we were out. He seemed to be doing much better after just starting on some tablets and special food for his liver failure that was diagnosed about a week ago. Even though he was a pest, he was our likeable pest, and we miss him terribly.

Tonight, putty Leo, in heaven you purr,
where the mice are all easy and the wind strokes your fur.
So stretch and enjoy yourself, my feline friend
There's pilchards for lunch and the cream never ends.

Ah sorry to hear bout Leo..Last Oct Bank Hol I had to take our Oscar to the vets. The kids found him on the mat at front door gasping for breath. I must have done 90mph heading to vets with tears streaming down my cheeks. I had to return home without him..he was put down. He was a persian and we had him for 10years. He had a dodgy ticker since birth. This is going to sound awful but we did miss him..for about 2 weeks. Then you get used to not tripping over him everytime you go out and the windows are a bit cleaner. Afterwards kittens kept appearing every now and again at our door and none of the neighbours have cats so think someone purposely drops them here knowing we had a cat. But they never stay. Our
4th has just gone after a week being here. Set out to make you feel better but don't think I'm doing a very good job am I?

Bye bye Leo, my lovely lion cat.

All those long years ago, centuries in cat's years, I had sworn not to take on another cat (at the time, we had had up to 3 adult cats and 4 kitten in the house at the same time... TOO MUCH!) but when I saw you, orange tabby, so fluffy and cute, how could I resist you?

All the other cats we had over the years were family pets, you were mine. I named you.

And guess what? When I moved to the Big Smoke, I took you (a country cat) with me and brought you to a strange house, in the city... and left you there!

With all the love and special extra-nice food you got there, you settled well (THANK YOU CATHAL'S MAMMY AND THE DAD FOR CARING SO MUCH FOR HIM). You almost forgot about me! Farewell my Leo, enjoy Cat Heaven. Miss you.
